It’s Trunk Show time at Tilly’s and we have two dreamy designers in-store with the full collections from Madison James (brand new to Tilly’s) and Charlie Brear’s Desert Dreamers 2021 collection.

December is upon us, which gives us another opportunity to festoon the boutique with festive baubles and trinkets (like we needed another excuse) and this year, under our metaphorical, mostly pampas grass Christmas tree, we have the ultimate gifts for you.

For the next two weekends, we are absolutely giddy with bridal excitement to bring you two decadent designer trunk shows.

A sneaky peek of the Madison James collection

First up is the new woman in our lives, Madison James. If you haven’t yet seen, Madison James is a stunning collection of ultra-romantic gowns, designed to blur the lines between modern and vintage luxury. The collection really is a beauty to behold and we will have the entire new collection for you to feast your eyes on. Prepare for hearts to be stolen. The Madison James trunk show is in store 12-13 December.

We will be celebrating our last Saturday in 2020 at Tilly’s with a trunk show from the endlessly cool, modern luxe bride vibe that is Charlie Brear and her Desert Dreamers 2021 collection.

Brooke Dress - £1445 (Tilde belt separate)

Modern muse – Charlie Brear, Desert Dreamers 2021 Collection

As you know, we are an exclusive Charlie Brear stockist and the latest drop from the British designer traverses the realms of ultimate coolness and chic attitude to bring you sublime designs that wear like milky ivory liquid on your body. Apologies, I’ve been watching too much Nigella and my vocab has taken on a Lawson-esque tongue.

Think more delicate feathers, dreamy drapery and even a sharp blazer thrown into the mix. Brear is another designer whose work fuses elements of modern and minimal, with a deep appreciation of old-world luxury. Charlie’s Desert Dreamers collection is in the boutique on 19 December.

So, you might be thinking, but what is a trunk show? Well, we’ll keep it simple and essentially, it is an opportunity to get a look and a feel of some of the dresses that wouldn’t ordinarily be in the boutique (we just can’t fit them all in).

Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect from Tilly’s over the next two weeks:

Trunk Show
The Oxford Dictionary defines ‘trunk show’ as… oh never mind. Essentially this is an opportunity to see a designer’s latest collection in all its glory, there will be more dresses in store than usual, so it really is a chance to indulge in the delights that the collection has to offer. If you’ve seen something online, chances are we will have it in the flesh on the day for you to try.

Booking
As ever with Tilly’s, booking is essential to secure your appointment. You can call the boutique or email us at hello@tillytrottersbrides.co.uk. We would advise not contacting for the trunk show via our Instagram DMs as we don’t want to miss your message!

Decision-making
Many brides may be wondering, do I have to decide on my dress on the day, with regards to the trunk show, and the answer is the same whether or not we are in trunk show mode. Your experience is the most important thing to us and finding your dream gown is our ultimate goal. We will never push or rush you into a decision but we say to all of our brides, during these unprecedented times, whatever dress you decide on, wherever that may be, do not delay in getting it sorted. 2020 has been a testing year and next year will be super busy for the industry as a whole, so securing your dress as soon as you have ‘the feeling’ will make your planning process that much easier.

The temptation of other designers
We appreciate that the lure of other designers in-store may catch your eye on the day and that is of course absolutely fine! You know your style and the boutique is very much ‘business as usual’ in that respect, it just so happens that you’ll have a much wider range of dresses to select and edit from.

Second tries
It’s natural to want to think about your dress before making a final decision (please see decision-making subheading above) and, once the trunk show has been and gone, the dresses will no longer be in-store, so we do advise that if you absolutely LOVE IT, get your measurements taken and we can start the process. However, if you really need that extra reassurance, as we sometimes do, let us know and we can arrange for a dress loan in-store to bring the dress back in. There will be a small charge that will be deducted off your dress price.

Exclusive Tilly’s offers
The team will be on hand in-store to style you through your appointment, and it wouldn’t be the season of giving without a little special discount on these exclusive trunk show days.

Available appointments
We are filling up fast with just a few spots left across the weekends so, if you haven’t already, get in touch and book in.  Drop us a message, we love it when you write!

Madison James Trunk Show will run from 12 – 13 December.
Charlier Brear Trunk Show features on 19 December.

As ever, we are here to guide you and make this trunk show experience magical. If you have any questions, get in touch and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
